China Accommodation Comfort Levels At China Travel Plan we rate our accommodation with comfort levels of 1 through 5. Below you'll find examples and descriptions of this rating system. Our ratings are not official star ratings.In most cases, the China accommodation mentioned is a comfort level 3. If you would prefer to stay in a comfort level 4, please indicate this on your quote request form and we'll adjust your travel plan accordingly. Comfort Level 1 - Basic China Accommodation Rustic China accommodation in a cabin/tent with limited facilities. This type of accommodation is only used during the horse trek to Ice Mountain, from Songpan. Comfort Level 2 - Simple China Accommodation Basic, yet relatively comfortable. Private rooms with basic toilet facilities. In Ping'an you'll stay in a simple guest house. |

Comfort Level 3 - Comfortable China Accommodation Room with bathroom. Clean, atmospheric and well maintained accommodation in a good location. Most accommodation types offered by China Travel Plan are part of this category. Courtyard hotels, Chinese style hotels surrounding a small courtyard filled with plants, lanterns and birdcages, are a part of this category. This type of accommodation in offered in Lijiang, Dali and Beijing among other places. Comfort Level 4 - Very comfortable China Accommodation Spacious bungalow or room, stylishly decorated with extra facilities and attention to comfort. The resort on the tropical island of Hainan and the Peace hotel in Beijing are part of this category. |

Comfort Level 5 - Luxurious China Accommodation Spacious bungalow or room with luxurious bathroom, swimming pool and extra facilities. These hotels are only offered if they give an extra special travel experience, for instance when they are in a particular location. We have chosen not to offer these hotels in most locations since most 5 star hotels have a business travel appeal. However, China Travel Plan does offer this type of China accommodation in a city where such a hotel has an extra special appeal; Hong Kong. While in Hong Kong, you can stay in the 5 star Harbour Plaza hotel. The rooms of this hotel offer a view of the world famous harbour and skyline of Hong Kong. The extraordinary facilities in this hotel, such as the swimming pool with jacuzzi on the rooftop, make a stay at this China accommodation an unforgettable experience at the end of your China trip. |

Hotels in Chengdu, Lijiang, Dali and Yangshuo were all very much enjoyed by us all. This was because they were all full of character and not standard western hotels. J & S King All hotels were great in their own way, nice to have traditional, modern, traditional, excellent! P Clarke One of the best things about the whole holiday was the lovely traditional hotels we stayed in at every stop. J Allibone All the courtyard hotels were marvellous; well located and unique to China. We specifically enjoyed the Hutong hotel in Beijing. The staff were so helpful and friendly.
