People of China.... from city to countrysideRoute: Beijing - Xi'an - Xiahe - Chengdu - Lijiang - Dali - Yangshuo - Ping'an - Guangzhou (Canton) - Hong Kong
In comparison to the Go China itinerary, this trip allows you to spend more time off the beaten path. You'll travel north west of Xi'an to an area that feels like a mix between Tibet and Mongolia. You'll travel in your own private car with a driver and a guide through the vast grassy plains at an altitude of 3000m, where you'll mingle among the nomads, yaks and Tibetan monks. During this China itinerary you'll mostly spend 3 nights in each location, allowing you to really get to know each destination. It's also nice to be able to sit down and enjoy the scenery after invigorating activities or excursions in the area. Who wouldn't want to soak up the atmosphere on the streets or stroll through a market you may have just discovered on your own? Your trip ends in Hong Kong, where east meets west.
