China Travel Plan is a small specialist internet based tour operator, offering you a unique way of travelling around China. Our China travel specialists will help you build your own holiday using our bite-sized China trips or our suggested China itineraries and you'll have complete control of your China tour's final itinerary; just give us a call on 01273 322 048. China Travel Plan is part of Rickshaw Travel. We're online adventure tour operator made by travellers for travellers. Our trips are very individual, and you won't be part of a large coach tour but instead you'll independently travel by trains, buses, private car, planes, and sometimes minibus to explore the country in your own time. We also like to give something back to local communities, which is why we sponsor various charity projects. See our responsible travel page for more information. We're able to keep our prices low because we don't produce flashy brochures or run luxury shops. However you're more than welcome to visit our China Travel Specialists while you're planning your China trip. Fiona McLarenTravel SpecialistHaving explored much of Africa already and experiencing my first taste of Asia last year on a trip to Vietnam, I’m now really excited to be part of the China Travel Plan team and I’ve already started planning my first great China adventure.There is something so mysterious about a country that is steeped in such fascinating ancient history and culture and I can’t wait to head over there next year to discover as much as I can about this incredible and diverse country. From the breathtaking Great Wall and Xi’an’s world famous Terracotta Army, to the peaceful rolling rice terraces and quaint hidden villages; there really is so much to discover. Although I’ve got to say, above anything else, I’m really looking forward to visiting the adorable Panda Bears in Chengdu before heading south to Yangshuo to relax by the riverside. |

Sophia FadilProduct SpecialistI have just recently returned from a China trip booked through China Travel Plan and it certainly was the trip of a lifetime! Naming the favourite part of my trip is impossible, as I saw and did so much during my 3 weeks in the country.Seeing the Great Wall of China with my own eyes was one of the most memorable parts as was the Terracotta Army, which is even more amazing in real-life! Seeing the Giant Pandas in Chengdu meant I was able to hold a baby panda in the Panda Breeding Research Centre, which is one of my top moments! Southern China was a different experience altogether and was the perfect place to relax after visiting the big cities on my China tour. Both relaxing in the beautiful Karst Mountain region of Yangshuo and the rice terraces of Ping’an, I was amazed by the stunning scenery! And, if you are a bit of a foodie like me, China is sure to be a travel experience you will remember forever! |
Haydn WrathManaging DirectorChina Travel Plan is run by Haydn Wrath.I left the University of East Anglia in 1984 and escaped what seemed a very grim England by spending the rest of the 1980s travelling independently and working myself round the world. During this time I put in some usual stints as an English teacher in Tokyo, a landscape gardener in Sydney and a tarmac layer's assistant in Alaska. In 1990, I joined Bridge the World Travel Centre in London as manager of the World-wide department, where I was able to put my degree in Politics and Philosophy to good use. I fulfilled my ambition to set up a specialist travel company in 2001 when I founded Travel Nation, and later in 2007 set up Rickshaw Travel and China Travel Plan. I have travelled independently to China a few times, and am always utterly amazed by the people and the atmosphere there. China has so much going for it, and the Olympics showed that they certainly know how to put on a good show. Of course, in common with so many other visitors, when I'm in China, I am in food paradise...especially that Crispy Peking Duck they do... |
