Here, you'll experience China's emerald blue lakes and rainbow coloured terraced pools, lush green forests and cascading waterfalls. The best time of year to experience this area of China is from May to October, when the water level is at its highest. If you’re visiting Jiuzhaigou National Park in the winter, you might not get to see lakes and pools at their fullest, but the snow-covered mountains and lakes still give a great atmosphere. At the airport you’ll be greeted by our driver and transferred to Songpan, a small town on the banks of the Min River. The population is a mix of Tibetans, Hui Muslims and Han Chinese. A myriad of religions and traditions coexist here. The village is friendly and charming with many little wooden houses along small streets. You’ll spend the night in a small basic hotel, the power supply may falter at times so, again, don't forget your torch. |
